Micro-loan Program

Through the Balama Development Alliance micro-loan program, women and men in Liberia are being enabled to start businesses that liberate them and their families from a cycle of poverty and sustenance living.

Many women have started retail businesses by making purchases in the city and bringing the products out to sell in the villages. Right now, BDA is creating a community-owned 'wholesale' general store housed in a shipping container to support these commerce building activities and use the proceeds to fund the school programs. As you can see, Coke is a universally desirable product even if distributed on a scooter from a basket on someone's head.
