Lawrence Forkpa, recipient of a micro-loan from The Balama Project

Lawrence Forkpa, recipient of a micro-loan from The Balama Project

Lawrence Forkpa

Faith Healing Center is the product of one of the BDA micro-loans. A community development loan of two hundred dollars from Balama Development Alliance (BDA) to the Raymond Town Church enabled Lawrence to start this clinic. It is all things to many in desperate need of healthcare. This three-room mini-clinic provides healthcare for over two thousand residents of Raymond Town, Garyea, Barborquelleh, Mengbonta and Balama, many of whom are referrals from traditional herbalists in neighboring towns and villages. Lawrence Forkpa is a nurse aide at Phebe Hospital and also runs the clinic which has saved many lives including those of pregnant women in labor, children suffering with diarrhea and cholera, and acute accident cases.

He was able to successfully pay back the loan and wants to expand with a second loan. Please pray that God will provide the resources Lawrence needs to help his community.
